Glockner pilgrimage 2022

The Glockner and God, worth a pilgrimage.

Every year, thousands of pilgrims make a pilgrimage to the shrine of Saints Peter and Paul. June 28th, from the Rauriser Seidlwinkltal in the Salzburg region about the Grossglockner High Alpine Road all the way to Heiligenblut in Carinthia.

At 3 o'clock we went with that Tanzberg travel  from the Faistenau, towards Rauris. At around 6:30 a.m. the pilgrimage started from the Tauernhaus in the Seidlwinkltal.

The pilgrimage route leads via the Litzlhofalm and the beautiful head of the Seidlwinkl valley up to the Grossglockner High Alpine Road. At the Hochtor pass, the pilgrims from Rauris meet the pilgrims from Fusch/Ferleiten.

There is always a reason to thank God with this pilgrimage.
